One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six Strikes...You're Still In

Probably the most frustrating part of professional sports lately has been hearing about selfish athletes and their problems with the law. It's pretty pathetic that Roger Goodell has to have meetings with Pacman Jones and Chris Henry to give them the "why did you do that" talk. How about instead of giving these guys 5th and 6th chances to behave we start suspending them for entire seasons, or better yet, banning them from the league. If they want to go out and violate substance abuse policies and personal conduct policies then they obviously don't care enough about the game to continue playing in the league. Chris Henry knew about his meeting with Goodell on Tuesday and was stupid enough to get his car impounded and subsequently arrested on Monday. If that doesn't spell out jackass, then I don't know what does. He is a waste of talent and a waste of a contract that could be going to a deserving player. These guys know that they can get away with anything, so they just keep on violating policy after they have been warned countless times. If they haven't gotten it by now, then they're never gonna get it. Time to get tough Goodell and show us that you actually want to clean up the league and get away from being the National Felons League.

Long live sports,
DG2
