Run Willis Run...Right Into On-Coming Traffic

Probably the best thing to happen to Buffalo since drafting another TEAM nightmare, the Bills finally dealt with Willis in the only way that they should have. While I think that losing a former first round pick for a 3rd, 7th, and 3rd next year is probably not the best deal, it's better than losing him for nothing next year. As a season ticket holder it was frustrating to no end to feel the energy of the other players and the stadium as a whole, and then have him sulk around like a school girl bitch. I'm glad that we're closing the chapter on such a lack luster player and Baltimore can give him $40 million any day. I felt like he wasted our time and never truly gave us 110%. He may go on to be a pro bowler one day, but his east-west running, poor passing game play, and lack of explosive long runs have frustrated me to no end. Good luck in Baltimore Willis, maybe next they'll move YOU to Toronto. The CFL is always looking for another Ricky Williams.

Moving on...

Let's stop talking about A-Rod. I'm a self appreciating Yankee hater, but I don't like seeing a player ruin a team. If you love Lou so much, then go play for Lou. If you think he's a good coach, then say it and leave it at that. If you're sad that you and Jeter broke up, then stop talking through the media to him. Stop ruining baseball and allowing the media to turn it into Donald vs. Rosie or an episode of "The View." Please, we've had enough already.

Moving even further...

If you use steroids, then you're a cheater. Enough said.

Final word...

Hockey is a violent sport. Probably the most demanding sport of all. I love hockey. I love it for the hitting, the goals, the fast action, the ridiculous saves, and the intense playoffs. However, I have a problem with the late/unfair hits. There is no glory in hitting a defenseless player. Cam Janssen's hit last week was completely intent to injure. His 3 game suspension is/was a joke. It made Neil's hit on Drury look like a love tap (in reality Drury's hit was ridiculous). The NHL needs to step up and send a message to those who are ruining the game. The Sabres lost Drury for a week on a hit that never should have happened. Bertuzzi was taken to court over his punch, granted it was far worse than these two, but the bottom line is that there is no place in this sport for men (and I use that term loosely) who want to injure. Please Bettman, start protecting your players because you won't let the inforcers do it afterwards.

Long live sports,

DG2
